Get hands-on experience helping people with Parkinson’s, stroke, MS and other neurological conditions live stronger, side by side with our Neuro Exercise Specialists.
Movement Revolution empowers people with neurological conditions to live better through evidence-based exercise, education, research and social support.
Our interns work directly with clients and clinicians in a community-based wellness setting. You’ll assist in sessions and classes, learn our assessments, lead group exercise and build relationships with local hospitals, therapy clinics, research institutions and condition-specific organizations.
We accept junior and senior undergraduate students and graduate students from a variety of health-related majors.
You’ll be an integral part of the Movement Revolution team, working alongside our coaches every week.
Help clients with modifications, spotting and cueing during training sessions and classes.
Learn and assist with new client assessments and re-evaluations, including physical measures and quality-of-life questionnaires.
Lead large and small group exercise classes as your skills and confidence grow.
Observe personal training and functional fitness sessions, and help coaches create and run exercise programs.
Attend staff meetings and educational sessions, and meet with your supervisor every week.
Represent Movement Revolution at special events like races, seminars and awareness walks, which may include some weekends.
Every intern develops and completes a project that helps people live better with neurological conditions, such as a new program, an educational or community event, a client initiative, a video or a marketing project. You’ll shape the idea with our staff and your supervisor approves it. Interns may also have opportunities to assist with research, data collection and advanced exercise testing.
We accept internship applications year-round. Openings are limited, so we recommend applying 2 to 6 months before you’d like to start.
