The Neuro Exercise Specialist training program was developed by Movement Revolution to set a professional standard for exercise professionals servicing the Parkinson’s disease community. It provides our trainers with a comprehensive skill set to address the diverse needs, goals, and symptoms of those with Parkinson’s. This program integrates the latest research along with providing clients a more engaging, collaborative, and personalized approach to exercise. Our objective is to help people with Parkinson’s live stronger every day, in the ways that matter most to them.

Neuro Exercise Specialists (NES) hold at least a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science along with a nationally accredited personal training certification.  NES gain a sound understanding of the pathophysiology, treatments, and symptoms of Parkinson’s. They learn to functionally apply this knowledge and combine it with the latest clinical research to create exercise sessions that truly impact and empower each client.

NES receive hands-on training on how to effectively lead neuro-exercise assessments, one-on-one training sessions, and group classes. Our initial training period is 60-days. All specialists recertify annually and are required to pass written and practical tests. Currently, the NES title is held exclusively by Movement Revolution’s staff and is not available to outside instructors.
