FOR CLINICIANS

Refer a Patient for Neuro Exercise

When therapy ends, progress shouldn’t. Our Neuro Exercise Specialists help people with Parkinson’s, stroke, MS, brain injury and other neurological conditions keep moving, with specialized exercise built around each person’s diagnosis.

WHY REFER

The Next Step After Therapy

Medical exercise bridges the gap between the clinic and the gym. We help your patients continue their progress long-term, in a setting built for people with neurological conditions.

Assessment-driven programs

Every program starts with a Neuro Exercise Assessment that includes physical measures and quality-of-life questionnaires, with regular re-evaluations.

Specialized team

Our Neuro Exercise Specialists specialize in working with people living with neurological and complex medical conditions.

Evidence-based exercise

Strength, balance, cardio, agility and functional training, including Rock Steady Boxing and intensive classes for Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s Accredited Exercise Education Program

We’re honored to be selected as one of the first Parkinson’s Accredited Exercise Education programs.

Our Work in Research and Hospital Programs

RESEARCH

UCSF Parkinson’s exercise trial

Our Neuro Exercise Specialists lead the virtually supervised exercise sessions in a UCSF randomized controlled trial of home-based endurance and resistance training for people with Parkinson’s disease, led by Dr. Nijee Luthra. Read the published study protocol.

HOSPITAL PROGRAM

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital

For the past two years, our Neuro Exercise Specialists have led the Parkinson’s exercise classes at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield: a Level 1 class for people with higher mobility and a Level 2 class for those who have difficulty with balance, fatigue or cognition. These classes are supported by a grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Movement Revolution is an independent organization. Naming these institutions describes our work with them and does not imply their endorsement.
