Our Neuro Exercise Specialists are trained in the unique complexities of MS. We take the time to understand your goals, preferences and limitations, and design a program that’s effective, enjoyable and picks up where therapy leaves off.
Our biggest goal is to understand how MS impacts you the most and design an exercise routine that addresses those challenges and enhances everyday life.
Our team is continually learning, collaborating and developing the most innovative, fun and impactful exercise programs backed by the latest evidence-based research.

Every person is different, but generally, we encourage our clients with MS to be as active as possible with the current status of their condition and symptoms. The best exercises are dependent on your goals and current abilities. In general, cardiovascular exercise is recommended 3-5 days per week, strength exercises 2-3x per week, and mobility and balance exercises can be done daily.
The best way to find what’s best for you is to meet with one of our Neuro Exercise Specialists for a comprehensive MS exercise assessment. This 90-minute discovery session helps us learn all we can about you, what you like to do, how you move and how we can make it better with exercise. The assessment includes gait training analysis, posture screening, functional mobility and strength assessments, balance screenings and a thorough discussion about your current daily life with MS.
All programs are tailored to your current ability level and goals. Especially with our clients with MS, exercises are structured to progress at a rate suitable to your current abilities and progress slowly until we learn more about what your body and symptoms can handle.
We understand this can be a financial investment, but we believe strongly in the ability of our Neuro Exercise Specialists. We build programs that show our clients progress that genuinely helps them live stronger each day. These beliefs are supported by our numerous client testimonials and years of experience and expertise in the neuro-exercise field.
When programmed properly by skilled professionals, exercise can help you manage your symptoms better each day. Properly programmed exercise itself will not make your condition worse. People with MS do experience exacerbations that are associated with the disease. Exercise can and will be modified to help you optimally manage these periods. If we see any regression in ability, we will coordinate with your neurologist and physical therapist to ensure proper measures are taken.
For people with MS who are new to exercise: it’s recommended that cardiovascular exercise be done 2-3x per week for 10-30 minutes at a moderate intensity (11-13 RPE), or 40-60% of your maximum heart rate.
For people with MS who are currently exercising regularly: it’s recommended that cardiovascular exercise be completed 3-5x per week for 30-40 minutes at a moderate to high intensity (depending on your condition) (15-20 RPE), or 70-80% of your maximum heart rate.
We always recommend that people remain active outside any class or guided one-on-one personal training session. Your guided exercise with a professional should focus on challenging exercises you cannot do on your own. Your independent exercise can consist of general mobility and cardiovascular exercise.
Exercise has been shown to help people with MS manage their symptoms better, therefore, helping them live better with MS. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no research indicating that exercise can, in fact, slow the progression of multiple sclerosis.
No, exercise cannot be a substitute for your medication. We strongly suggest working with your neurologist and other physicians on your team to optimize your medications. When you optimize your symptoms, this also helps you maximize the impact of your exercise routine.
