For the past two years, our Neuro Exercise Specialists have led the Parkinson’s exercise classes at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) in Winfield, supported by a grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation. The 2027 schedule is out, and registration opens in November 2026.
There are two levels, so everyone can train at the right intensity.
Level 1: for people with higher mobility
Combines cardio and resistance training. It primarily involves moving exercises, with some floor work and balance-focused exercises.
- When: Mondays and Fridays, 1:30–2:30pm
- Series begin: January 11 and March 22, 2027
Level 2: for people who have difficulty with balance, fatigue or cognition
Low-impact cardio and resistance training. It primarily involves seated and standing exercises.
- When: Fridays, 2:45–3:45pm
- Series begin: January 15, February 19, March 26 and April 30, 2027
